Four SwampDogs Named To 2019 All CPL Team

The 2019 season may be over for the SwampDogs, but there is exciting news that was announced on Wednesday.  The Coastal Plain League named their first and second All CPL Teams and four SwampDogs made the lists.

Pitchers Jonathan Cole and Matt Vonderschmidt, along with catcher, Alex Kachler were voted to the All CPL First Team.  Outfielder Pearce Howard was selected to the All CPL Second Team.

"This group of guys is well deserving of this honor.  They played hard all season and it's great to see them get recognized", said SwampDogs Assistant General Manager, Clint Narramore.  "The 2019 team was a special group of guys and they were fun to watch night in and night out.  These four were great contributors in our success in making the playoffs."

The SwampDogs are looking forward to the 2020 season, which will be their 20th summer of fun.  They are members of the Coastal Plain League.  The Coastal Plain League is the nation's premier summer collegiate baseball league. Heading into its 23rd season in 2019, the CPL features 16 franchises playing in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
