SwampDogs Blank Holly Springs 8-0

The SwampDogs topped the Holly Springs Salamanders on Friday night by score of 8-0.  The game was highlighted by an explosive inning by the SwampDogs and a gem pitched by Joe Graziano.

The SwampDogs got things started in the third inning when Cameron Phelts hit an RBI double, scoring Brett Brown.  Konnor Piotto then singled, bringing home Phelts.  That made the game 2-0.

The score remained 2-0 until the seventh, where the 'Dogs broke the game open.  Piotto singled again, bringing Brown.  Alex Kachler singled on the next pitch which scored Phelts.  After a call to the bullpen by the Salamanders, Brandon Talley knocked in Piotto to increase the lead to 5-0.  Two batters later, KC Brown hit a three run home run that made the game 8-0.

SwampDogs starting pitcher Joe Graziano went six strong innings, allowing no runs and only gave up five hits, while striking out four.
