Just a day removed from an exciting night that featured late inning heroics and a mezmorizing fiewroks extravaganza, the SwampDogs were participants in the annual Hope Mills Indepenedence Day parade on Thursday. Members of the organization handed out pocket schedules and stickers to enthusiactic fans, young and small.
The SwampDogs wouldn't let the heat bea them and SwampDogs mascot, Fun-Go was a highlight of the shpwcase, as kids of all ages came over to give him a high five or take a picture. The SwampDogs also rolled out their "Honest Air" Courtesy Cart and drove that through the parade, while their "Instigator of Fun" sprayed the fans with cool water, to beat the heat.
The SwampDogs are on the road tonight as they travel to High Point-Thomasville. The 'Dogs return home tomorrow to play the Wilmington Sharks. It's Kids' Night, and all kids 13 and under will receive a free ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket.
