Cole Swiger is the latest player to be added to the SwampDogs roster for 2019. The junior from Bloomsburg University is off to a fast start to the Huskies spring season. In just four games, Swiger is hitting .467 with four home runs and eight RBIs. He has also stolen three bases on three attempts.
"Cole is another all around player who simply does everything well" said SwampDogs head coach, David Anderson. "He will bring great experience to our team this summer as a player who has started every game since stepping foot on a college baseball field. He is a complete hitter that will help us both in our order and in the outfield!"
Last year as a sophomore, Swiger appeared in 51 games, starting all of them and scored a team high 50 runs with a .339 batting average. Swiger is also a two time Conference Scholar Athlete.
The SwampDogs begin their 19th summer of fun on May 28th, as they host Catawba Valley. Season tickets, bundled tickets and group tickets are on sale now. Single game tickets go on sale May 1st.
