The SwampDogs were out in the community again this afternoon. This time, they partnered with their friends at Bubba's 33 and brought lunch to the day time shift of TSA workers at Fayetteville Regional Airport. As the government shutdown continues, TSA employees contiue to work with no pay. The SwampDogs, who delievered Jersey Mike's last week to the workers in the control tower, wanted to show their support to the TSA employees as well. Bubba's 33 came through with the assist by providing pizza and salads.
SwampDogs, General Manager Jeremy Aagard said, "We were able to do this on Friday for the workers in the tower and wanted to make sure we didn't leave anyone out. This is a tough time for all of the workers who continue to do their job. Their efforts are selfless as they continue to work despite not being paid. PS, my in laws' flight was on time!"
Fayetteville Regional Airport Marketing Specialist, Allison Rogers said, "Fayetteville Regional Airport is grateful to see such an amazing show of support from the community and the SwampDogs for our TSA and Air Traffic Control partners, as they work through the shutdown."
The shutdown has been in place for over a month now and the SwampDogs wanted to show their support and appreciation of those who live and work locally that have been affected by it.
