Fayetteville, NC - Emory University Eagles Pitching Coach David Anderson, 25, has been named the new head coach of the Fayetteville SwampDogs. Anderson, a native of Syracuse, New York, has built an extensive resume' across the country as a player and coach. In 2015, Anderson pitched for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball with a 2,67 ERA in 40 innings worked. He also spent time in 2016 with the New Jersey Jackals of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball League.
As a coach, Anderson has spent time with Muhlenberg College, Cornell University and as the head coach of the Watertown Rapids before taking his current position at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Anderson is currently working to obtain his Master's Degree in Sport Management with the University of Florida.
"I am extremely grateful for and humbled by the opportunity to manage the Fayetteville SwampDogs," said Anderson. "I look forward to bringing an exciting brand of baseball to the swamp and can't wait to get started," he said.
