SwampDogs Look To The Skies For Help On The Hill

The Fayetteville SwampDogs are pleased to announce the signing of pitchers Garret Rogers and Cory Conway from Morehead State to the 2018 roster.

Rogers, a junior from Oklahoma City, is in his first year with the Eagles. He spent the last two seasons at Barton Community College, starting 24 games and compiling a 10-11 record over 141.2 innings. The 5-11, 185 lb. right-hander has compiled a 1-1 record for Morehead State this season, starting two games and appearing out of the bullpen in 11 more.

Conway redshirted in his first year at Morehead State and is now in his first season of eligibility for the Eagles. A left-hander with a big frame at 6-2, 180 lbs., Conway was rated as the 10th best pitcher in the state coming out of high school. The Noblesville, Indiana has looked to carry over his pre-collegiate success in 2018, going 6-3 with three saves and a 3.74 ERA in 31 relief appearances.

Both Eagles figure to contribute for the SwampDogs this season, which kicks off at J.P. Riddle Stadium on May 29.
