The Bananas kept things interesting as lead-off hitter Utah James (University of North Carolina) and Mattis were hit by a pitch putting runners on first and second. After a passed ball, both runners advanced into scoring position. Chris Bashlor (Lipscome) then singled to right field plating both James and Mattis.
