FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville SwampDogs are pleased to announce a new promotion to begin immediately at “The Swamp” – the Grand Slam Inning presented by Fayetteville Powersports.
During each remaining home game during the 2015 season at “The Swamp,” if the SwampDogs hit a Grand Slam home run in a specified inning, a name will be drawn and that fan will win a new vehicle courtesy of Fayetteville Powersports.
Fans can sign up to be a winner at the Cape Fear Valley Health Fan Stand, and it costs nothing to enter your name.
“I’m excited for the opportunity for our fans to get the opportunity to walk away with a brand new vehicle from our tremendous partners at Fayetteville Powersports,” said SwampDogs general manager Jeremy Aagard. “This promotion is more than a home run, it’s a grand slam.”

The Coastal Plain League is the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 19th season in 2015, the CPL features 15 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts. The CPL has had over 1,200 alumni drafted and 79 of those – including 2011 AL MVP and Cy Young winner Justin Verlander – make their Major League debut; while another notable alum – Russell Wilson – won Super Bowl XLVIII.
