SwampDogs Coaching Staff to Lead East Team in 2017 CPL All-Star Game

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Austin Edgette (Bloomsburg), Jay Robinson (New Orleans), Griffin McLarty (College of Charleston), and Zach Neff will be joined by some familiar faces when they represent the East Division in the 2017 Coastal Plain League All-Star Game to be played on Monday, July 10 in Holly Springs.

Head Coach Matt Hollod, in his first year with the SwampDogs, led Fayetteville to a 1st Half East Division title for the first time since 2011, and now has a chance to win the All-Star game as the manager for the East Division team. Hollod will be joined by his assistant coaches Adam Harris and Tyler Shewmaker in Holly Springs.s

The SwampDogs return to the Swamp on Friday for their Summer Spooktacular against the Wilmington Sharks. The gates will open at 6 with first pitch at 7:05. The Coastal Plain League is the nation’s premier summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 21st season in 2017, the CPL features 15 teams playing in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
