The owner of Kids in Sports, Sonji Clyburn, discusses this new partnership with the Fayetteville SwampDogs and the positive impact it will leave on the youngest generation of sports fans and athletes.

“Kids in Sports of Fayetteville has partnered with the SwampDogs because this is a great way to showcase what our organization offers,” Clyburn says. “It shows how we help mold children from ages 1 to 12 to be a team player. Together, our organizations have the same goals in mind, which is to help build life skills by participating in sports. This also includes the promotion of health fitness, plus we both love baseball.”

“This is a great partnership between two very community-oriented organizations,” SwampDogs Assistant General Manager Eric Lewis says. “The first time I stepped into Kids in Sports to witness what Sonji and the group of coaches were doing for these young kids was truly amazing and well thought out.

“I have coached at many levels of baseball and the philosophy that is taught at Kids in Sports is something many do not see emphasized by other organizations,” Lewis says. “They provide a true learning aspect for children that you don’t find just anywhere.”
