Pacer to Set Tone at The Swamp

Division II Righty Brings Skill and Experience to Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. –Pacers are known to set the standard high for all to follow. The SwampDogs are expecting Nick Yobbi, a USC-Aiken Pacer, to do just that this summer.
Yobbi has transitioned into a full time starter role for the Pacers this year making all 12 of his appearances as a starter. USC-Aiken has won seven of his eleven starts this year with Yobbi earning five of those wins.
The South Park, Pa. native stands 6-0, 190 lbs. and will bring stability and experience to the SwampDogs pitching staff. He had a solid sophomore campaign, primarily out of the bullpen. His 21 appearances were the most of any Pacer reliever, as he posted a 4.74 ERA in 43.2 innings.
The University of South Carolina, Aiken is a member of the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference. The Pacers are coached by Kenny Thomas in his 17th season. Thomas is the school’s all time wins leader with 579.
