Division II Righty Brings Skill and Experience to Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. –Pacers are known to set the standard high for all to follow. The SwampDogs are expecting Nick Yobbi, a USC-Aiken Pacer, to do just that this summer.
Yobbi has transitioned into a full time starter role for the Pacers this year making all 12 of his appearances as a starter. USC-Aiken has won seven of his eleven starts this year with Yobbi earning five of those wins.
The South Park, Pa. native stands 6-0, 190 lbs. and will bring stability and experience to the SwampDogs pitching staff. He had a solid sophomore campaign, primarily out of the bullpen. His 21 appearances were the most of any Pacer reliever, as he posted a 4.74 ERA in 43.2 innings.
The University of South Carolina, Aiken is a member of the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference. The Pacers are coached by Kenny Thomas in his 17th season. Thomas is the school’s all time wins leader with 579.
