HAMPTON, V.A. – The SwampDogs (13-10), did their job taking one on the road at Peninsula, however, Fayetteville fell to the Pilots (14-10) by a score of 4-1.
Matt Morrow (Wright State) drove in Austin Edgette (Bloomsburg) to cut the Fayetteville deficit down to 3, however, the Pilots were able to land safely and secure the victory.
Kyle Hinton (Delaware) pitched 5 innings of one-hit baseball to stifle the SwampDog bats and earn the victory.
The SwampDogs return to The Swamp on Wednesday for Super Hero night against the Morehead City Marlins. First pitch is at 7:05 with the gates opening at 6.
