J.D. Jackson

Jackson makes his first appearance at “The Swamp” as the SwampDogs pitching coach. He is currently a pitching coach at the University of Puget Sound. A pitcher in college, Jackson played one season at Connors State Junior College in Warner, OK (1997). Following his freshman year, he transferred to Auburn University in Alabama where he was a relief pitcher for the 1998 SEC champion Tigers. He then transferred to Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA to complete his junior and senior seasons. As a starting pitcher for ODU, Jackson logged victories against top 25 nationally ranked teams and started a game in the 2000 NCAA regional in Clemson, SC. Jackson led ODU in victories as a senior.

Following his playing career, Jackson has coached at various high school and college levels since 2003.
