Fun-Go’s Holiday Letter

Dear SwampDogs Nation,

As the long-time mascot of your Fayetteville SwampDogs, I am thrilled to be in contact with all of our amazing Faynatics this offseason! With the release of our 2017 schedule, we are working very hard at planning another summer of exciting SwampDogs baseball! Our new promotional schedule will be announced in the near future with many awesome nights of family fun ahead at The Swamp.

We have had the tremendous pleasure of welcoming new members to our Fayetteville SwampDog family this past fall. I’m excited to meet our new head coach Matt Hollod as he begins his quest to lead our team to a Petitt Cup Championship!

I’m thrilled to see our wonderful host families and partners as we have been around town this offseason. It’s going to be exciting to meet the interns and game day staff for the 2017 season. They help make every season a tremendous success. I love developing relationships with new people which will last a lifetime, but sometimes they can be a little hard-headed when it comes to taking direction from me. Is it really that hard to understand what a 6-foot tall dog that can’t speak is trying to say?

Fans, it was a 2016 summer season full of many wonderful memories shared with each and every one of you. I had a blast welcoming players, staff, interns and families to The Swamp for the All-Star Game. It was an amazing experience and I hope we get to have it here again very soon!

We were happy to have provided a number of great promotional nights including, watching some of the most memorable fireworks displays of my life!

It is hard to believe I have spent nearly two decades entertaining the Faynatics at The Swamp and we are fully committed to making the 2017 season a fun, memorable experience for each fan who comes out to the ballpark.

As 2016 is coming to a close and we approach a new calendar year, it is my pleasure to wish all of our amazing Faynatics and surrounding community a wonderful holiday season. I will be spending time with all my loved ones as we ring in 2017 and prepare for more baseball!

Thank you to everyone for their tremendous support throughout the year and I will see you back at The Swamp on May 30th for our home opener versus the Holly Springs Salamanders. Until then, Go Dogs Go!

Best wishes,

Mascot of the Fayetteville SwampDogs
