FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Fun-Go, the beloved mascot of the Fayetteville SwampDogs has a busy week ahead of him, with home games coming on Wednesday and Friday before he celebrates his birthday at The Swamp during a double-header against Florence. On Tuesday, Fun-Go took some time away from The Swamp, to meet with future SwampDogs competing in the Cumberland County Little-League All-Star competition. Fun-Go mingled with players and fans alike, before taking some time to simply sit and enjoy some more Fayetteville baseball.
The SwampDogs return to The Swamp on Wednesday for Super Hero night against the Morehead City Marlins. First pitch is at 7:05 with the gates opening at 6. The Coastal Plain League is the nation’s premier summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 21st season in 2017, the CPL features 15 teams playing in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
