When SwampDogs baseball sadly reaches its conclusion every August, it is a very long wait for the beginning of a new summer season in the city of Fayetteville. With the home/season opener only 39 days away, Fun-Go decided to get his baseball fix in a little early, attending the Methodist University baseball game versus Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday night (April 19). It was Student Appreciation Day at Armstrong-Shelley Field on the MU campus and everyone’s favorite mascot helped make sure each fan was having a great time at the ballpark. It was an exciting game as Methodist defeated the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins by a score of 6-5 on a walk-off hit in the 10th inning. Fun-Go was just getting warmed-up as he begins his intense preparation to entertain Faynatics at The Swamp for another exciting season of the best collegiate summer baseball in the United States of America!
