The evening pairing matched up the Brockport State University Eagles (Brockport, NY) and the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg Bobcats(Greensburg, PA) managed by SwampDog skipper Anthony Williams.
The Eagles plated nine runs in the first inning and seemed to cruising to a game one victory. Brockport would extend the lead to 14-1 before the UPG offense got rolling in the bottom of the sixth. The UPG Bobcats struck for 11 runs in 6th inning to pull within two. But the Eagles turned to Steve Kowalski to shut the door and Brockport State held on to a 15-12 win.
Brockport would have not have any repeat in the final game of the evening, keeping their bats hot with runs in five straight innings to pull away from Pitt-Greensburg in an 11-1 final.
