Ben Burns

Burns just completed his first season at Georgia State and he was relied on heavily out of the bullpen. He was second on the team with 23 appearances and he led the team with six wins. The left handed hurler tossed 35 strikeouts in 54 innings. He played two years at Daytona State College and had a 4-5 record.   In his 80 innings of work, he only had 14 walks. Burns was also named Daytona State’s Fireman of the Year, which is given to the biggest arm on the staff and also played in the State of Florida Junior College All-Star Game.

Personal: Burns is a business economics major and was a two-time All-Conference selection in high school. He has two sisters, Tiffany and Brittany.
