Bananas Best SwampDogs

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. –A six run first inning for the Savannah Bananas saw the road team run away from the Fayetteville SwampDogs in a 14-6 final.
The first six batters of the game reached and scored for Savannah and they added runs in the third, fourth, sixth, and seventh.
The SwampDogs got their bats going in the third with a three run home run off the bat of Tyler Tharp (VMI). Patrick Donnelly (Lehigh) added a solo home run in the sixth.
Drew Moody (Georgia) went six plus innings to qualify for the win for Savannah. Courtney Mack (Catsonville CC) is hung with the loss to fall to 0-1.
The SwampDogs get their first off day of the year on Sunday before returning to action at home on Monday night against Asheboro at 7:05pm.
