During the 2015 season, the Fayetteville SwampDogs were proud to partner for the first time with the Fayetteville Walk to End Alzheimer’s to present Bringing Memories Home Safe to help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. For one night, the SwampDogs took the field adorned in special purple jerseys which were auctioned off to fans with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
After the game was completed, The Swamp played host to the 2015 Fayetteville Walk to End Alzheimer’s, with over 1,000 participants walking to bring an end to the terrible disease.
The SwampDogs and the Fayetteville Walk to End Alzheimer’s have partnered again for the 2017 season to once again present Bringing Memories Home Safe. The night will take place on July 21, 2017. The kick off party is July 21st, under the first base awning. Purple jerseys will be worn by the players and their jerseys will be auctioned online the day of and also during the game. We will have a sign-up sheet out for you to place your auction bid. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Alzheimer’s Association. We will also have an Alzheimer’s walk during our 7th inning.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is September 9th at 9 am here at J.P. Riddle Stadium. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We can’t wait to see you there!
