In his first season with the Miami RedHaeks, pitch Nick Ernst made a team-high 24 appearances. He finished with a 3-1 record with 2 saves and a 3.76 ERA. Ernst tallied 40 strikeouts along with just 23 walks. At LaSalle High School, Ernest lettered all four years as both a pitcher and utility infielder. Ernst still holds the school record for most innings pitched in one season and was the winning pitcher in his team’s sectional championship. He was also Preseason Division 1 Second Team All-State and Second Team All-GCL.
